Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman from America. The Corcoran Group is a New York-based real estate brokerage. In 2001, the company was sold to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran left the company within a short time. Corcoran is among ABC's original Shark Tank investors. As of now she has appeared on every 12 season of Shark Tank. In February of 2020, she's signed 53 deals on the show, the largest one being $350,000 to purchase 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was the second child in a family of 10 children and was raised in Edgewater.  Her mother, Florence, was a homemaker. Her father, Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. moved from job to job throughout Corcoran's early years. Her family often depended on food delivery services for free from a local grocery store. Corcoran is still able to remember her father as someone who would drink often and was rude to her mother. Corcoran was struggling at school and discovered later that she had dyslexia. Corcoran started in high school at St. Cecilia High School Englewood following her time at a Catholic primary school. Corcoran was a failure in several courses in her freshman year, transferred to Leonia High School. There she was awarded a D.
